An investment trust is a public listed company. It’s designed to generate profits for its shareholders by investing in the shares of other companies.
These companies are listed on the London Stock Exchange and their main focus is on investing shareholders’ funds to make a profit. They are similar Unit Trust with the main difference being that unit trusts are not listed.
